When the forming party of the Galactic Liberation Armada set out to it's journey, it did not set out blind, with no ambition. However far fetched the dream of a truely liberated galaxy may seem, especially during these dark times, being a visionary instead of an opportunist, a pioneer instead of a swindler, a romantic instead of a hopeless daydreamer, in sort, being a true revolutionary, means having a goal. Having a plan to win, but also to build on that win. Having a philosophy and a theory on how things should be, and a way to turn those ideas into reality.
After all, Changing The World Is Neither Utopian, Nor Madness. It Is Justice.
So, before tha Armada was formally formed and registered, the founding members had already settled on the main ideas of how the galaxy they would set out to create would be structured, and it was on this planogram that the Armada would be structured. As the Alliance would grow in size, power and influence the theory would be better realized, and take actual form. What follows is the concept of GLA's structure and how it evolved into a reality.
The first difficult challenge faced, discussed and resolved, was organizing the entire spectrum of issues and responsibilities into specific areas, let's call them ministries of sorts to make a long story short. Obviously, during the early formative days of the Armada everyone was involved in everything, each slowly specializing in an area, so that eventually roles would be taken up. The "ministries" or as they would be later called within the Armada, the Spheres of Responsibility decided were:
-Understanding and Enlightment (this includes Knowledge/Wisdom, Culture/Lore/History and Philosophy)
-Military Command (this includes Martial training and Martial strategy)
-Inteligence (this includes Information and responsibility of Secret Operations)
-Diplomacy
-Administration (this includes Legislation and Finances)
-Science (this includes Technological Advancement, split into Health Science and General Science)
When the formative days of the GLA ended, and the guild held enough members for Ranks and Chain of Command to be needed, the following structure formed completely:
-Leading Commander
-Division Commanders
-Class A Officers (also known as Senior Officers and Captains)
-Class B Officers (also known as Officers and Lieutenants)
-Class C Officers (also known as Junior officers and Sergeants)
-Permanent Members
-Recruits (also known as Apprentices)
-Allied Members/Honorable Members (those are people not formally incuded in the GLA, ie the decision making or training, but have proved to be friends of the Armada, sharing the same vision for the galaxy)
The Leading Commander holds no real power over the Division Commanders. It was decided for Alex Myrtou to hold the title, simply because he was the one to bring the founding party together for the first time.
The Leading Commander and the Division Commanders form the Armada's Council, the governing party of the guild. Any decision that would affect the guild in its entirety, such as forming a new division, appointing a new Council member/Responsible for a Sphere, Strategic Decisions etc, required a unanimous vote. Any other matter that exceeded the internal affairs of a division, required a majority vote. The only matter that could be consider an internal matter of a division but required a Council Vote was that of promoting an Officer to a Senior Officer.
The current GLA council consists of the following:
-Alex Myrtou (Leading Commander - Griffin Division, founding member)
-Krampias (Division Commander - Phoenix Division, founding member)
-Diana Striker (Division Commander - Valkyrie Division, founding member)
-Jokerakoss (Division Commander - Amarok Division, founding member)
-Katerinabyul (Division Commander - Pegasus Division, first recruitment)
The Spheres of Responsibility are distributed as such:
-Understanding and Enlghtment: Alex Myrtou
-Military Command: Krampias
-Inteligence: Jokerakoss
-Diplomacy: Kid Myrtou
-Administration: William Hall
-Health Science: Katerinabyul
-General Science: Diana Striker
